Blah.

Your face
A reflection
On the mirror of memories
Splashed with time's waters
Blurred, distant, fading.
The drops remain
Drying slowly
And then they are gone too.

An attempt at poetry. I dared to break the pact that I and poetry made to stay clear of each other. And now you face the consequences. "Self-depracation is unattractive, Jana," I've been told. So I'm shutting up now.

now thats neat... we are sculpted by our experiences or so someone said...
your lines remind me of another bit of lyricism which goes

Freefall on a windy morning shore,
Nothing but a fading track of footsteps,
Could prove that you'd ever been there.
Spoken on a cotton cloud like the sound of gunshot -
Taken by the wind, and lost in distant thunder.

i especially like the image of words spoken like a gunshot - loud and startling but so fleeting...
i mean, after all who remembers a blog post even two weeks down the line? not yours, i mean generally.

Hey awesome lines abhinav! Yeah it's true. Time is pretty ruthless that way. I'd written something similar in this old post of mine... http://pawpaint.blogspot.com/2006/01/time.html

Yes, shameless advertising, i admit. :D

ah 'time'... reminds me of pink floyd's classic.. the lines 'hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way'
roger waters... he's the man.

Yeah! That's an awesome track. I also love the lines 'Plans that come to naught or a half page of scribbled lines.' Oh, and 'No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.'

Which reminds me of 'Adam's Song', the lines that go, 'I traced the cord back to the wall, no wonder it was never plugged in at all.'

Don't get me started on lyrics...! I'll go on and on.
